Shyaamakrshna's large eyes reflect a Krshna energy, but his rhythmic energy is definitely Shaiva, since most percussionists have a Shiva-related ambience. He is left handed too, it seems. If he learns the Mrdangam please make sure that they let him play the "right side" (Valanthalai) with his left hand. Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia had his real take-off when Pandita Annapoorna-ji (his guru, the Surbahar player) advised him to play left handed. She must have intuited his lefthandedness.
