This is a little thing I wrote in Python, just for the sake of amusement. It's called John Conway's Game of Life, after the mathematician who invented it. What it basically shows is how simple patterns can evolve into complicated structures using very basic rules. ( learn more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway's_Game_of_Life )

Patterns demonstrated: glider, "the queen bee shuttle", "light weight spaceship", pentadecathlon, the pulsar, and an extra one. ;)
