It works. If it didn't work for you, you did it wrong. Make sure to put the little hoop of the tiny spring onto the metal rod of the back part of the lock n load mechanism. That's what makes the gun fire

@chantler2008 mine did too, but it should still stay together depending on where the screw was. mine was the bottom left on the handle :P
