On April 30th 2008 the US Army will make the wearing of the Woodland BDUs unauthorized, thus making the uniform a chunk of history...join me as we say good bye to a good friend.

  • Most original uniform ever made by the most intelligent army ever concieved! Greetings from australia.

  • if u wear tis with tags u can be arrested if u werent in miltary

  • Happy 30th Birthday still the Best. Damn. Uniform in My book.

  • Some can understand why most don't want to starch or iron but some people like myself thought you iron and press one uniform,But you where issued two sets one to iron and starch the other to wash and wear in combat plus theirs no harm of taking a half hour off the laptop and do alittle ironing that alone "wont kill you" Then again the army can just bring back a non shine black boot and dvelope a pattern more intuned to the BDU and DCUs that dont require too much work, just a thought.

  • BDU>ACU

  • Thats right the army is replacing the velcro on ACU's because it scares the sheep when we try to hump them. BDU's were silent with the buttoms

  • I prefer the acu since most soldiers and I dont want to starch, iron and spit shine our boots. Only bad thing I can say about acu, crouch area rip easy, the velco is crap.

  • @50TNCSA

Yeah hopefully they'll be less bulky.

  • @extruderofdertrude did u know the army is slowly replacing velcro for buttons on the acu because velcro make to much noise

  • This gear blew. Buttons came off. Pockets put in unnecessary places that trapped in heat and moisture and were covered up by armor and backpacks anyway. Collar design made no sense. Pockets on the pants were too huge and were hard to get to while crouching. Good riddance.
