The reason I have my doubts of this being a 2003 is the strobes on the back of the engine above the hosebed..and type in "DCFD Engine 2" and thats a 2003 with LED's. DCFD May have upgraded the spares to have LED's in some places.

and also just to add if my memory serves me right...when those 2001 seagraves came in they were assigined to engines 2...6...11...17...23...25...most were replced or sent to slower stations when the 2005 and 07 seagraves came in....

fdny was very late on the led craze...my old company had there hahn rehabbed in 2001 and when it came back in mid 2001 it had led lights on the side...that was the first unit i remember in our county with led's around that time.....im not a big fan of led lightbars...on the perimeter yes.....

well FDNY always gets the new things and on 9/11/01 they didn't hav led's so they must have been just came out

actually in 2001 you started to see led's...but if my memory serves me correctly that piece came in with all strobes...the led's were added later

im talking about the reserve piece in the video...those came in after they bought all those e-one....but it was after 911...those are 2001's

its a 2001...those were the first set of engines they bought after 911...they hit the street late 2001 early 2002...the 2002 seagraves were the first engines to have led's...then the pierce engines in 2003...seagraves in 2005....seagraves again in 2007
