  • Good comments. Yeah the legs probably could have landed a frame or two earlier and staggered so they're not twinning. Thanks!

  • thanks for this, great video. interesting that the eyes react first then the head then body, never really thought about it like that before.

  • This video was awesome, really insightfull, i'm a budding animator in my first year of an animation course at university. We use 3ds max, but primarily still 2d classic animation at the minute. i love p.i. and your vlogs are brilliant. :D

  • I kept looking at the pigeon's segment in this vid. Something kept feeling off. Think I've figured out what.

The body seems very stiff for a character about (and doing so) to jump. I would have made a simple adjustment.

When he starts anticipating a jump (shown in face) I would have started to lift his left leg. And when he hops up, that leg lands first and some weight is carried to it. He'll be less stiff and seem more eager for the food. Similar to what a dog or cat would do.

    Excellent Work

  • really helpful, i never really think of anticipation in the way you have talked about it here, really helpful to get those believable movements.

  • Another great Podcast :)

  • yeah 1st comment . love your work
