  • what does SC stand for?

  • supercharged

  • Got it running this weekend .. purrs now

Just needs the brakes bleeding and a speedo gear putting in it and its ready to drive

  • Is anything showing on the fault codes?

  • yea .. havent worked on it since june .. but just started showing o2 sensor (which has less than 14 miles on it)

except it was in the car when the last motor probably smothered it in antifreeze

and the old gas I took out sat for a month and a bunch of dirt was in it .. so I'm assuming my filter on the pump is clogged up .. so whenever I get time I will probably drop the tank

  • well it's got to be fuel or air,I would say fuel by look of the black smoke! was that supra fuel pump second hand? If so are you sure it was any good before you put it in the car!

  • it was running awsome last year .. drained the fuel out a couple months ago and put in new fuel and filter

the old gas after sitting for a couple months in a powerade bottle .. theres a bunch of dirt sitting in the bottom .. so im suspecting the fuel pump screen / filter in the tank is clogged up

see all

  • Can you please tell me were I can obtain a diagram of the engine I purchase a 1988 supercharged and some parts are missing ?

    Thanks

  • no engine oil lol

  • @mullinsadrian What was the fix?

  • uhm i dont know that much about toyotas but its the timing belt i think!!! or the cam aint timed right so either to much fuel or not enough fuel and air are getting in the cylinders

  • man get that baby running man!

  • mine had the same problem check the throttle body and make sure its pulling it out far enough to idle

  • sounds like your on the right tracks, good luck fixing it and roll on the summer!
