I was making a point that RFID was secure and harder to manipulate compared to the wide spred use of insecure locks, coupled with the ease of use needed to make equipment to pick said locks.
copying RFID is a risk granted, but I was saying that using locks and keys as a "safer" option is unrealistic unless middle market/high end market locks are used
1) anybody can make tools and learn about the trade at home. You cant make RFIDs in your shed
2) Everybody has a lock on their door, not everybody has RFIDs which means this tech isnt as a wide security threat
3) Im from the uk which means RFID arnt common. only one bank has RFID chips in cards, so again, credit card reading wont be a problem here for a good while.
Locks only keep honest people out.
