A favourite pastime of mine in the late 80's was to get to the footy early to watch the Reserves play and switch on the radio to 3LO to listen to the banter of the Coodabeen Champions.
Through Greg Champion and others they reworked famous songs to a football theme and played a track each week.
This track comes from the 1987 audio tape "In The Superbox With The Coodabeen Champions".
I have added some unrelated video footage of a 1983 Hawthorn v Collingwood match

@pangoez, Its not about chance - it takes talent, why are you forgetting so many other Italian & Greek players that have starred in other clubs ? (the mind boggles at such ridiculus comments)

Classic football comedy. Like you, I remember as a youngster the Coodabeens on 3LO (and before that on RRR) - a perfect way to start the football day.
With the stuff from 1987, when the ABC had the TV rights, Piffle's Palm-Outs was a scream.
