Valerie Solanas' great dream was a hitler-state of bloodshed and tyranny over half the human population. Anyone who follows her seriously should be jailed, or worse. Human waste at it's peak.

Go watch Oprah with your other mangina buddies.

@DisturbedUrs It is not singing, its called spoken word...

The S.C.U.M Manifesto is actually hilarious as it takes all the arguments that men have used against women since the dawn of time and reverses them. Woman becomes man, Penis envy becomes pussy envy and so on... She was not a feminist but an (unintended) satirist.
-
She was not a hero. She was an evil terrorist disguised as a writer.

Valerie Solanas was not a hero, or a feminist. She was an evil misandrist who even tried to murder Andy Warhol. Anyone who idolizes her is catastrophic.
-
she sings horrible.. but I totally LOVE THIS SONG!! (the one in the album)

While I still despise the woman, I see what you're trying to say, and thank you for clearing it up.

After release from prison Valerie was in and out of mental hospitals regularly. She was crazy (its believed schizophrenic, paranoid, and suffering depression). Warhol took her only copy of the play she wrote and lost it. At her arrest she claimed, He had too much control over me. Yet I believe her when she said, Scum was a satirical literary device meant to elicit debate. The writing IS quite funny. It would be as foolish to take it literally, as it would to interpret the Bible such.

What I mean is: many actions that had positive effect on contemporary women happened in the few years after Valeries 68 shooting. More important, many feminists acting then did so (by their own words) inspired by Valeries action and writings or responding against them. Regardless of peoples misconception that it is anti-male, feminism might not have made the progress it did in the 70s without the bullet that rushed Valeries manifesto to the press, inciting the debate she was after.

what drugs were these freaks on? also, 12-tone sounds better than this tripe.

Also, do you seriously support the SCUM Manifesto?
Oh, yeah... it was 2006 - my mistake. But you guys shouldn't focus on the lyrics. If you don't know Matmos, just let it go... The Visuals are disgusting; I love it! hehe!
