Im wondering why someone is saying you should never hear a piccolo that clean...and they brass not blowing.
Why WOULDN'T you hear a picc that clean if woodwinds are multi-directional instruments and brasswinds are uni-directional instruments...plus the fact that the piccs were in the back of the band at the point of the drill.
Also, why would the brass be BLOWING on the field if they are trying to produce a BALLANCED sound throughout the band?
