How to Hibernate in Windows 7. Also works with Vista. This video actually works, unlike some other ones that tell you just to type in powercfg -h on.

Command Prompt code: powercfg -h on

  • hey pls reply as fastest u can........ can my pc hibernate i mean safe the state when theres no energy (i mean when theres no energy u cant watch tv and all other thing)

and then when it comes back continues were it stopped ???

  • @nikolassj If there is no power, then your PC won't be able to revert to the saved state. It will simply boot back up as if it had been shutdown.

  • what does hibernate do

  • @nemanjanikolic781 It turns your computer off but saves the state so that when you boot back up it goes alot faster than shutting down.

  • can you help here plz . c , when i typed down powercfg -h on or off it says ( you don't have permission to enable or disable the hibernating feature ) what is that mean ? did I do something wrong?

  • make sure you run as admin.
