disclaimer: harry potter DIES when fighting voldemort in the books. im not kidding. he comes back and finishes the job, only to be whisked away on a beach probably drinking something, this is all i know.

@TheLochax (Spoilers) Because Harry Potter has a Horcrux in him, which was made by accident, Voldemort has to kill Harry to kill that Horcrux. When Harry gets hit with the killing curse, he goes into a "limbo" where he talks with Dumbledore, and decides to come back to Earth instead of "onward." So yes, he dies, but then he doesn't die.
