The Amazing Skidboot is the smartest dog you'll ever see. He gained worldwide fame with his tricks, but had to give up performing once he started going blind.

Skidboot died in 2007, but David Hartwig continues to perform with several of Skidboot's offspring.

    Toward the end of this video, I asked myself, what was it about this man, his "dawg", and their bond that so spoke to my heart? It dawned on me that here was a living example of those who are wrongly accused of "clinging to their God and the guns" that we are told we are supposed to fear and look upon with contempt. There is more "good" in this man's little finger and a wag of his dog's tail than in ALL of Washington D.C.'s politicians combined! I'll take my God, guns and dog any time, any day!
