@Dan178000 If you go on to Nico Nico Douga you can find MLP:FiM episodes subbed in Japanese, and as almost every one of them has at least five hundred views, we can conclude that there are fans there (although none of them seems to be willing to call themselves bronies). In fact, one fan has already taken sound bits from the show and is using them for Japanese meme related stuff.
