@Kelly14UK LOL! So true! There once were qualities called Elocution and Enunciation! The US is awash in imbecility- we're actually considering moving to Montreal! :)

@soapbxprod Apparantly a few people in Britain were kind of frustrated with the movie mumbling in Jeff Bridge's True Grit. And a lot of people in Britain are fed up with mumbling in movies period. Back in the days of Cary Grant,Clint Eastwood, Gregory Peck, Errol Flynn et al, no problem really as they were very, very clever in presentation. Old school, really : )

@Kelly14UK No no! Not one little bit- didn't realize that it was so soft... didn't seem that way when I was editing the interview in the Avid- do you notice how contemporary movies have such crazy dynamic range? first I can't hear the dialogue, and then the explosions and car chases are so loud that i have to ride the volume up and down continually with the remote in my hand!

Sorry didn't mean it as a criticism. I'm a bit hard of hearing. I played Nirvana way too loud lol

@Kelly14UK He was so funny when we interviewed him- I said, "It's a true honor to meet you, sir." He said to me, "Oh, I bet you say that to all the girls." LOL
Sorry about the soft level on Carole's voice- only uploaded his boom mike channel- we were shooting outside, and the landscaper was mowing- Mitch didn't want to ask him to stop working- it was the guy's job, after all! Proves how kind a man he really was!

One of the very few people in life I would trully address as " Sir". Shame about the quiet quality of the interviewer.

@margot9230 OMG! I never knew that he had a face lift! LOL!

I would agree except that Newman had a facelift and Grant did not. His face remained the same and only his hair turned into a healthy shade of white........
Dam he still had that strong voice. Great actor.
