This will probably be my last video. And as such, I thought I would try something a little different in an attempt to reach a wider audience. I don't know if it will be a dud or a hit. But I had fun making it.

  • It's about freedom or at least trying to preserve it. This video and my other two were intended to steer viewers to my website and participate in a movement. Unfortunately, the meter on the 2nd page hasn't moved much. There's only a month left in 2009 and tax returns have to be filed a few months after that. It looks like my effort is going to fall short. I'll leave the website and videos up, but I probably won't promote them anymore. Too many Americans take their freedom for granted it seems.

  • Dumbass video. The Beast reminds me of the health insurance industry. :D :D :D :D

Whoever did this video has WAAAY too much time on his hands, for sure.

  • Interesting response considering that government has the power to break the insurance industry; whereas, the insurance industry has no such power. So if the beast is the insurance industry, what is government?

  • Money = power in a capitalistic society. The insurance industry has the money, which they transfer into political power. Therefore, the insurance industry (and corporations in general) and government are one and the same, both being beasts with dominion over all. The beast has a self-interest in keeping the villagers stupid, as in your little story. Stupid villagers can't see the beast for what it is and how it came to be.

  • At least in a free market system private citizens have the ability to acquire wealth for themselves and exert some influence over their government. In every other system people who are not already within the power structure essentially have none. I would encourage you to watch the Milton Friedman video in the favorites column of my channel page.

  • I'll tell ya what. If this video goes viral, then I'll try to think up an encore to this one :)

Very good job on this video! Thank you for sharing and posting this. It is very thought provoking. There is a parallel between your story and what is happening in our Nation today.

  • Great job man! I'm passing it along to my village!

  • Captivating video. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure I agree with this simplified history of the American War of Independence: more myth than history, like the way the French Revolution is taught in schools, but I do agree with the second part.

Great music by Howard Shore from the Lord of the Rings.

  • i'm way to young to understand this
