Hey man What kind of flute are ya playin. I am looking online and all the triple flutes have 3 individual flutes instead of just 3 combined like yours. Do you know where I could by one? For a beginner?

If you check the video out on my page you can see me playing my Sicilian bagpipe which is sort of like what I imagine playing the finger holes of the sparrowhawk drone would be like. It has two chanters and then drones. Anyway, your flute(s) sound cool!

Your songs have really inspired me to get serious playing my sparrowhawk. I got it as a gift 4 years ago and have never been able to get myself to play for more than a few days at a time.

@LicianDragon Thank you sincerely for your heartfelt comment. Truth be told, this isn't a flute that I play *everyday*; either. Sometimes I can go for weeks without picking it up even though it is always sitting within arm's reach (as now). When the inspiration hits or when I have an idea that requires the use of the 2 drones, I'll experiment. Otherwise, I stick with a regular flute.

@codyzboy Why thank you, sir! That is indeed a very generous comment, and it is gratefully accepted. FYI, I sent this flute back to the High Spirits shop in Patagonia, AZ a couple of days ago so they can fix it. It got partially crushed in one of my bags when I was traveling with it back in May. Fortunately, it's totally fix-able, though! Peace ~ Bruce

Why not put the drone with the extra holes on the left and play it with your left hand and the other holed flue with your right hand that way you can play a counter melody with one drone?

It can be played that way as it is now, though the flutes are configured just the opposite of what you're suggesting. I've tried playing it this way; I just haven't made any videos of myself doing that. (Need to develop my technique a bit more first....!)
