Sad, but true, americans don't know & don't care to know about the world, let alone Africa. You probably know more american history than americans do, our history classes are a joke. So the only way to learn is to do it on our own, & americans are lazy.

Somalia was the Land of Punt & controlled the incense trade; Ethiopia was Sheba & other great kingdoms thru history. History books are generally racist too

@macpossecrew Ahaha, your ignorance is showing. You say "Ethiopian" as though they are one homogenous group. What about the genetic similarities between Oromo Ethiopians & Somalis. What about the Afar & other Cushitic/Hamite people in Ethiopia? They aren't similar to Somalis right? At the end of the day the Somalis have beef with Ethiopians over land which the British gave to them & the two countries cant see that the rest of the world doesnt care about them, to them we are all black or horners.

in ancient history they can be considered the same people, but outside of Africa, I hear over and over that Africa is a "country" ...... and in un-doing colonialism, naivete like this put many different people together and expected them all to get along. In the last 100-200 years, Ethiopians and Somali's are not the same, but in ancient history (and by looks,) there are many similarities.
