I find it funny how people judge others. I for one was raised with bullfighting and enjoy watching it.. I have many American friends who have never seen it before and they enjoy it.. It's not for everyone just like MMA fighting and other sports even hunting. Yes the bullfighting in the US is not the same as in portuguale or Spain. There is more risk involved because the bull is not injured so the don't tire.. It's not just going out there and waving a cap you have to know how to stand how to

Lets take a look at American culture for a bit; cowboys. In rodeos they tie rope tightly around the bulls balls then ride it's back. Then they have an event when the lasso a cow and yank on its neck. Finally, the have an event where they restless a calf to the ground by hanging on its neck then binding it's legs. This bullfighting is will freakin' velcro! Tell you what; you can hit me with a nerf stick and I'll tie rope around your balls while jamming my heels in your ribs while I ride your bac

Sorry but this is not portuguese tourada, this is a shame.........
We have this "touradas" were the bull is hurt, but we have another type were the bull is not hurt "corrida á corda" ou "largada de touros". If you want an exemple of braverie google for "forcados".
Just one more thing, this is our colture, some of us don´t like it others love it, please don´t be so critical becouse american opinions will not change my culture....

@katlady5000 haha, one of the American "forcados" is wearing white trainers!!LOL! that's how traditions become bastardised! for all those who think this bloodless bulLfight is american, sorry to disappoint, this type of bullfight has its origins in Portugal
you call that an art!
You bloody primitive sadists

Bloodless? I'm portuguese and I can say there's nothing bloodless about portuguese bullfighting. The only thing different about it is they don't kill the bull in front of the audience for "viewing pleasure". Other than that, it's still a despicable show of violence. The only group that doesn't hurt the bull are the forcados and, coincidentally (or not), are the only interesting thing to see in a portuguese bullfight (or any bullfight, for that matter).
