@Flagrum3 As for the church deciding what to discard or keep years ago...There was a purpose! They choice scriptures/gospels that they felt were written by either first hand witnesses or direct 2nd hand followers.Most of the 'Kept" gospels were written within 2 generations of Christ's death.Which is one stipulation/method still used today by Historians.Also there were not multiple shrouds circulating back then most were artist depictions of the true Shroud we see here but 'painted' versions.

@SwaggerLikeUz -Don't know where you get your info from but most of your statements are false.Most writings on LDV creating the Shroud is all 'fabrication' not a factual comment is made in the film or book>all speculation.The Shroud has been proven to be, at the very least, 1300 yrs old-R.Rogers (peer-reviewed paper)-ThermoChimica Acta-2005.Please don't base your facts on 'Videos' go to shroud.com for scientific papers and documents filled with facts on the Shroud or checkout shroudstory..

@TrueNovice Thanks i'll check it out and my minds always open by the way.. I have this great autobiography about Leanardo Devinci I wish i could Upload to Youtube. People forget that during Leanardo's Lifetime there was a Shroud circulating then and that one was widely known as a Fabrication. Some even think the Leanardo was behind that fabricated hoax of a Shroud. And most People dont know that there was more than one Shroud, and thats were the Controversy comes from.

@SwaggerLikeUz There were numerous books about Jesus, who according to you did not exist. The church decided what books and letters would make up the bible. Few people could read and since the printing press was not invented each book had to be laboriously copied by hand.

@TrueNovice Have you ever heard of the "Book of Enoch" ..??? he was in Genesis and the Bible barely mentions him in Genesis. The interesting thing is the Bible said he walked with God and God took him , but Why? The Bible leaves you hanging time and time again, and why not but tell us more my friend. @TrueNovice I got a question for your do U know about the Banned books from the Bible ? If you dont i challenge you to check in to it either by Searching online or buying a Dvd maybe. In the Beginning there was no Bible just books that early christian sets or groups read and was apart of their beliefs. Did U know one of the earliest Christians sects believed the God of this world was Evil, and they were Called the "Gnostics' . That was just one group of christians , others disagreed.
