  • I don't care that they havent been built in Norway. But we don't buy new large stuff like this often enough. And when we first buy, we buy crap... And btw, the HDMS Absalon isn't a "super" frigate. It's a suppoert ship, but itæs still better armed than The Norwegian frigates.

  • I'd like to see proof that the Absalon is "more advanced" etc, considering that the Fridtjof Nansen even has the AEGIS-system, so far only used by the US, Japan, Spain, Norway and South Korea. The Norwegian coastline is among the longest and most rugged in the world and Norwegian waters are far bigger than the Danish ones, so I doubt that the Danish navy would have more capable frigates than the Norwegian one.

  • wait 1 sec greenland was owned by norway but in 13th century denmark took it in kalmar union.

also morway has 4 times more sea to guard than our country.

also queen maud land is 2,1million km2 and other islands like svalbard makes norway 8 biggest country in the world if we count them in. Greenland is just as big as queen maud land

  • @filmidioten Every country asks for ships according to the needs, the coast Norway is complex, and his " historical enemy " they have been the Russian SSBN in his exit for the Baltic one, with these new noses, which power is the antisubmarine war (more strong than F-100, type 45, Zeven Provincien, etc.) the aptitude to chase and destroy SSBN increases beyond of the coasts, because the AEGIS+ESSM provides him with great capacity of self-defense and escort, but priority is antisubmarine war.

  • @filmidioten Remember, the Danish navy has to protect the whole coastline ti Greenland too ;)

  • @Tordenguden They are different ships with different specifications. Norway needs a ship to control its intricate coasts, Spain needs a ship for open sea

  • @Vacceo89 Nothing about this ship is spanish, exept for the hull. All the sensors, radars, electronics are american, french and norwegian. The main weaon system is norwegian (NSM). And why is the f-100 much better? KNM Nansen has superior missils, with stealth and greater range. Also the ship it self has better stealth. The radar system on F-100 are larger, but aslo older. I really cant see any advanteges for the F-100. And nothing that is spanish, exept the hull.

  • An Aegis system..Excellent..Long Live Norway..

  • Their accent brings great pain to my ears - a neat piece of footage, nonetheless

  • de misilene der er så jævla fet! XD

  • haha! Var det den trønderske drone ansvarlige som ropte "flye, mett!!" på 2:27 ?

  • @Snekkersen You are a true expert LOL. What specifications have to do with warship? Do some research and find out how in international law a "warship" is defined.

    Moron.

  • That's a mean looking ship! The Fridtjof Nansen, the Hamina and the Visby protecting Scandinavia. I pity the fool who tries to enter scandinavian water.
