  • @mrfarmerjimbob actually buffalo airways operates several of these aircraft. if you want to see a tv show about them check out ice pilots. they use the c46 quite extensively as well as several dc3's, a couple dc4's and a lockheed electra. its a great show, its a Canadian show but still great

  • Always liked the C-46 when I was a kid--Didn't know there was any still flying. I've never seen one.

  • Gorgeous plane

  • I'm thinking of my father--he was a C-46 pilot based at Clinton County AFB, Wilmington, Ohio in the mid 1950s. This is the best vid I've seen, ever, of a C-46 (more effort is taken to show C-47s, 'eh?) Love the sound and the sunlight on those spinning props. We're all saying a prayer for the crew and passengers of that C-46A noted at the end of this moving video.

  • Enjoyed every second of this video and that sound of the engines is like music to my ears, R.I.P. to the crew and passengers of C-46A HK-851P

  • Great vid of a superb airplane; thanks for this...

  • I have flown that plan back in 1976 or so I was a little boy going to san Borja Beni to my Father"s Ranch

  • AWESOME.

  • Great footage of a great Airliner/Cargo aircraft! As I see it, this very capable bird is very often the "forgotten one" with most of the adulation going to the DC-3. I remember seeing several of these great aircraft at La Paz (El Alto) Airport in different states od disrepair. For me it was very sad to see them in that condition. A good business acquantance of mine (Jimmy) used to fly them until he crashed one (but survived it OK). The C-46 has a great heritage and war history.

  • Wonderful to see this, great video!
