'What I've Done' ~ John Porter (Richard Armitage) fanvid *IN REAL HD*

A little quickie video! I had this video in mind, even before Strike Back aired. I prepared some of the other clips beforehand.

The video idea comes from Penelope's excellent vid "What I've Done" from Robin Hood S1 (which you can download here: http://www.rafanvids.com/Robin-Hood-S1/index.html It's the third video down). I liked her "music video" approach and thought that this same song would work with Strike Back. Since this is a quickie video (I am impatient! LOL) I might do a "sequel" to this later if I feel that there are a lot of new ideas. That's yet to be decided.

Techie data for fellow geek girls: Edited with Final Cut Pro 7 and LiveType (for credits). I used an HD MKV file, converted to MJPEG AVI in HD. Editing codec was Prores HQ.

The HD quality is gorgeous! I followed the timing of the original video, so all the markers I laid down (for timing) were regrettably ignored! LOL.

Richard Armitage, Orla Brady, Andrew Lincoln star in Chris Ryan's Strike Back. It's thrilling and lots fun, so order the DVD (also available as Blu-Ray!). I've already ordered my DVD from Amazon.co.uk!

I have been TRYING to post a reply to TheBlackHorse92's question about how I edit in HD, but YouTube has some glitch, so I'm trying a plain post and hoping it'll go through. To anyone who has questions, it's the codec that is used that makes editing HD easy. Trying to edit HD with WMV, Xvid or MPEG is too hard on the software/hardware. These types of files are too compressed. I edit in less compressed codecs like MJPEG AVI (and PRORES because I'm on a Mac).
