@1Batt Typically, you want a crankset with as small a Q-factor as possible, unless you have really wide hips.

I was kidnapped by aliens once and one of 'em tried to hypotize me.

I was hypnotized by that shoe o.O

How much I bounce on the seat depends on the load so if I tried to max 1st gear on the flat I could get to 180rpm or though I'd start bouncing around 105 which wouldn't happen when accelerating hard.

Ankling or pulling up too hard can push smaller muscles to the limit and cause lactic acid build up which 'numbs' the larger muscles as they share a blood supply. Also calves can cramp if you use them too much.

Thank you!

What does 'spinning' mean at 3:24?
JustWonderingHowToDo 1 month ago
@JustWonderingHowToDo Spinning means using a high cadence ( rpm) - i.e pedaling fast in a low gear. This is good for your neuro-muscular fitness and also uses slow twitch muscles meaning you can go for longer before tiring.

how does the clock change with q rings
CyclingAZ 1 month ago
@CyclingAZ The clock would remain the same as it is just tool for defining different areas of the stroke. Much as a q ring may maximize power out of the down stroke you'll still be wanting to have the full stroke as smooth as possible - so the advice here still applies. Thanks.
