Plasma Speaker Amplifier 2

This is my Plasma Speaker. This is a Test to see how the sound compares when you put an amplifier through the sound input. IT becomes a lot louder but camera picks up electrical disturbance. Still uses TL494 and an IRF540 MOSFET

i drive it at 9 volts at 3 amps. It can go up to 40 volts

I'm guessing - guessing being a key word here - that the input audio changes the frequency of the spark, and thus the frequency of the air around it~? Creating sound?

TL494 it's amazing but you got to find the right frequency and then you are set, and for the guy's who want to build this thing they gotta have some experience on how those things are working and BTW this is VERY HIGH VOLTAGE so this is not for beginners!
