Seattle has musically always been more than grunge although it was bands as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains that put the city on the map at thebrginning of the ninties. Bands Of Horses successes with record "Everything all The Time" got the world to face its ears to Seattles musicscene again. The band has today moved from the town, but guitarist Matt Brooke stayed and started up "Grand Archives". Follow Matt into Seattles music scene 2008. Also meet Tiny Vipers and Fleet Foxes.

  • Please. Let us all forget Death Cab.

  • Yeah God Seattle what happened man...grunge was so badass and abrasive and dark and ethereal..now its pretentious/smug beard pop hippie hipster indie pop. Keep the indie music in portland and williamsburg NYC where those retards belong.

  • Who cares if the music is abrasive or mellow good music comes from this city period, regardless of what genre

  • This is gross, someone shave all their mustaches off. Maybe they'll evaporate after that if we're all lucky.

  • @RNRDOLL Hey dude come on indie music is bad ass too. Maybe not at grunges level but its some of the only good music that is still around

  • fucking grunge kicks ass! what the fuck is this shit? :@

  • and i live and hour away ive saw alice and chains where i live that ways my first concert

  • my 3 favorite bands or singers from seattle are jimmy hendrix sorry dont know he spells it nirvanna and alice n chains

  • @RNRDOLL Seattle has a very low arrest rate for marijuana possession to the point where I'm fairly sure it is just flat out not prosecuted in the city anymore. Just saying that might contribute to what you're seeing.

  • strange how seatlle music changed from in-your-face music to hippy indie pop or whatever

  • kind of annoying how seattle is overshadowed by kurt cobain, nirvana and grunge.... and i don't even live there...
