"The question of what to do about North Korea's determination to develop nuclear weapons" (pbs).
North Koreas recent a long range missile launch, Taepodong-2, which is believed capable of reaching the U.S. west coast, flew over northern Japan and fell into the Pacific Ocean. Communist North Korea insists that it put into orbit a communication satellite that is broadcasting patriotic songs: "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong Il." But, Japan, South Korea, and the US military say there is no such sign of the object in space. The allies claim that the launch was a long-rang missile test, which is clear violation of UN resolutions adapted in 2006 after North Koreas nuclear test and previous missile launches; and its eventual aim is to develop the ability to deliver a nuclear warhead.
According to US-based North Korea expert Joseph Bermudez, countries that have bought missile parts and technology from North Korea include Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

  • obviously clinton sent the wrong wise guy to negotiate. he should have sent someone from the gotti's crew to negotiate. or gotti himself..

  • imagine if they did shoot a missile that hit america? our nation would hit them back and they would end as a people. but so the south. lol.

  • @Rico8458 Hiroshima,Nagasaki,Indians... shut up.

  • they still worship Stalin in north korea. lol.

  • North Korea is holding the korean people hostage. Imagine... North Koreans are to either live in poverty, famine and oppression or "expend" 100.000 US Troops and multiple times that in civilian deaths.

  • This video account of events is wa-a-y off. By the time Carter got to Kim Clinton had ALREADY mobilized American military power into South Korea.

I'm an eye witness. Hour upon hour airlift staged through all the bases in Hawaii.

It was a CONVEYOR BELT of military goods. The idea that they were in contemplation of action is bunk.

Carter raced in fully knowing the facts and simply told Kim take my offer or Clinton's coming. Kim shook hands and that was that.

  • @consdel2000 bitch ur from america..and i see how u talk shit on your fellow americans..i guess thats how your mom raise you
