Q&A: Is Youtube Or Blip.TV Better For Your Views And Why?

In this video, I answer a question from allmacallmike from Twitter - http://twitter.com/allmacallmike who asks: "Which is better for more views on your videos and why? Blip.tv or YouTube?" Thanks for the question. If you would have asked the question a week ago, I would have given you a different answer. I've changed the way I'm tracking my video views on Blip.tv and I've found a lot more views than I thought were happening. I believe a lot of new viewers are coming to my blog, bwana.tv, to watch the videos due to my appearances on This Week In Tech with Leo Laporte. I'm getting a ton of exposure using my Youtube channel since its reach is so vast and there's more potential for expanding your audience. I love the guys at blip.tv and I have no plans to leave them for Youtube, and I believe my recent stats are showing that people are definitely watching the show from my blog via the embedded player. Keep in mind, this is a highly dependent situation and your results will vary. There's no doubt in my mind that my situation is unique. Don't use this video to make a decision on a video network. Try them yourself and monitor them closely, and you'll find your home. Don't just limit yourself to Blip.tv and Youtube. Thanks for the question, allmacallmike, take care.

Youtube should go back to the way they were in 2006. They have give users more options. The 3 thumbnail image rule on youtube is a F'n joke.

I like Blip.tv been using it for a while now. Much more professional to me. They give you some pretty nice options. Only downside is the direct traffic is obviously going to be lower because Youtube is a giant. Check out my show page is you want and see what I am doing.

It really depends on which video url you promote on your blog, twitter, and other social presence. But since Google prioritizes Youtube videos to appear on their search results, I'll just pick Youtube as my main video distribution and use other video sites to add more exposure.

Fuck this jewish channel, I wanna prepare for my exam, and the videos are uploaded there, and when I started watching them this shit put 1 ad before every video, but now it put two 30 seconds advertisement, so now I go to Youtube for the videos, and this site should go bankrupt..

youtube for gamers if you are trying to become a partner and your vids are video games you can say good bye. to be a youtube partner because of the copyright claims. witch is bullshit so youtube partner is not and option and cant be used by gamers.
