So beautiful♥

A song written in 1973 yet the message is more applicable today than ever before. That is true evidence of masterful writing and perhaps most importantly the ability to reach the heart of mankind's plight.

beautiful song/hymn, more true than ever

@patfealy Disagree, he is not scolding God, he is pleading. The problems are caused by us, nothing to do with God. Like the seed in the ground, we cannot make it grow, but we can destroy. We cannot create, but we can destroy. He is basically saying to the Creator, we are destroying what you created.

In honor of my mother, Nila Surgi (81). She retired this week after 57 years teaching. But the school didn't let her fully retire; they created a math tutoring position for her. I love you mom.

I have met Gordon a few times when I had may radio shows in Portland, Seattle and Grand Rapids. His songs are more meaningful today but seldom heard on the radio. He has so many heartfelt songs. This is a great one.
I think this is the best song he ever wrote. Not the most popular, but nevertheless, the best. Thank you for posting. I haven't heard the in at least 30 years...

this is a masterpiece. He is gently scolding God. yet he is still praying with a nagging question. Is it too late yet to pray?
