In as little as 6 seconds it takes to wash a plastic bag - with each bag costing about 8 cents, you have paid yourself almost $48 an hour just by washing them and using them even just one more time. Seems like a good time investment to me!

  • I do the same thing. I wash them and hang them to dry on whatever I find on the counter.

  • @GI0VANITA - We go all around the house....clothes lines....coat hangers etc...

Glad to know I'm not alone!

  • I do that. I also toss the ones that held raw meat. I also toss the ones that had raw onions in them. I find that the smell will permeate all the bags in the drawer. I will have to remember to use the already reused bags for the meat. NOW that is something that I never thought of.

  • Well I'm glad I added a little extra boost to your already frugal habits!

  • It's my pleasure to be of service! (o:

Don't feel bad about not thinking of it...truthfully, hubby tells me that my mind works so 'oddly' that a lot of stuff 'dawns' on me that is out of the norm! (o:

So I thought I could share my 'weirdness of thought' and see if others could use the process!

Have fun getting creative with this new lifestyle! It really is more fun than most people think...(o:

  • Your videos and ideas are AWESOME! I have been wanting to start saving on zip's but it seemed like such a pain to wash them. Why in the world it never dawned on me to turn them inside out I don't know. It seems so obvious now! I like to use them to premeasure dry ingredients for bread, like your muffin video, so now I can have the convenience and still be saving $! Thanks
