KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- The Sox couldn't come away with a victory in todays opening day game. Javier Vazquez pitched well for the Sox, keeping them in the game for a good 6 innings until 3rd baseman Tony Pena ripped a home run to center field to put the Royals ahead for the remainder of the ballgame. Javier was replaced by Mike MacDougal in the 8th inning. Closer Ryan Bukvich came on in the 9th inning for the Royals to seal the deal resulting in the first loss for the Sox.

W - Brian Anderson, (1-0)
L - Javier Vazquez, (0-1)
S - Ryan Bukvich (1)

3B - Carlos Quentin (1)
RBI - Jim Thome (1), Joe Crede (1).

Next game: tomorrow for game 2 against the Royals.

  • I love this game! Just finished making the NL East current last night. The Expos are going to have to sub for the Nats, but that'll be alright.

  • u should add more of the games from this season if ure able to,i enjoyed this

  • My dynasty got deleted

I'm looking to start another, though, possibly in another sport. I'm a huge Hawks fan so I may go to that.

  • I know, it's weird.
