Ok I drove with ESP off...

Yeah was a quite fast lap I think :) I'm not racing against the clock. Mostly for developing my drving skills and having fun! That's the most important thing! The stopwatch is just running in the backround and for fun. I am jsut curios everytime what I can do out on the track :)

Yeah and i hope i'll never crash my beloved Astra :) !

  • @lsdfreak4ever

I'm really not a race driver and I tried very hard to not crash my beloved Astra. Everything was stock on the car, I was paying attention not to block any of the faster cars and I left ESP on.

I think I could have done the lap a few seconds faster, but a time around 9:30 is quite fast for an unmodified Diesel Astra with stock tires ...

If you're going again, please don't crash your Astra. Don't drive against the stopwatch - drive to have fun !

  • @iBug Nice driving :)

Last summer when I was at the Nürburgring i managed a 9:33 with my 1,9CDTI with 150HP. Everything was stock by then.

This Spring i will return with new brakes and Tyres and maybe 200HP :)

I am curios what will be possible then...maybe an 8:5x :) we will see :)

  • As good as this time is I reckon you could get it quicker if you used more of the road and the kerbs. But at least when I go I know I'll get a good time and beat Jeremy Clarkson :D

  • @iBug personally i dnt think a 1.7 cdti is gna beat a 1.9 cdti on the ring lol my brothers 1.9 150bhp would piss all over a 1.7 cdti on the nurburg :P 236lb-ft torque

  • @iBug well, it's a 100 hp remapped to 135 hp and 320Nm, cat removed, so it should have about 140hp.

  • @Stagobos No, you don't have to make a video specially for me, don't take me too serious ;-)

But sure, if your 1.7 l is remapped, it might be 10-20s faster than my stock 1.9 l. When both engines are unmodified, the Z19DTH should be the fastest Diesel (if you have luck and encounter little traffic on the track, e.g. from 03:55 to 04:04 I slowed down to let the bike pass, but then it only passed the next corner).

  • @iBug well, why don't i tape my lap the next time i go, are you fine with that? last time i went i did a 9'43" lap with my remapped GTC. i used the timer from my astra. so if you really want to compare, i'll make a video specially for you :p jeezes

  • @iBug Oh, hast dich also nach Luxenburg verkrochen. Du glücklicher
