Alternatively, you could use Waves Vocal Rider before your compressor. That should be pretty close to the same thing, unless you really need to accentuate the endings of certain words to get the breath, for instance, in which case you'll probably need to ride the fader manually (to write the automation that is).

@TheDymondusic This has to do with the fact that you're standing in the middle of your room. If you're using a condenser, try using a good dynamic instead. Like a good old sm58. Other than that, you might want to get an isolator like the one made by SE Electronics. (reflexion filter) The right mic for the right voice is standard. If you don't have your room treated, you will need to invest some money.

and there';s also an annoying buzz in my vocals like im standing in the middle of an empty glass bottle and as i talk the bottle vibrates. i don't know whats going on. i really need help

where is the rest of this video because my vocals are just not sounding upfront at all. i don't know if i need a plug-in for that or what but my vocals sound very empty. you can literally tell from listening that im standing in the middle of my room
