@pavementism I'm sure that you make a valid point...it's just that Blur liked The Smiths very much and they worked with the producer Stephen Street, who also producved The Smiths

This song was a homage to 'Death of A Disco Dancer' by The Smiths methinks...or am I wrong?
One of Blur's best. Their music was so ahead of it's time back in 1997.
