The Shags were as important as the Beatles in New Haven,Ct. in 1965. Tom Violante, one of the founding members, had put together a new Shags in 1995, and fans like me couldn't get enough. The players(LtoR),Tom Violante, Bill Pallman,Joe Zukowski,Ed Gerosa, and Harvey Thurrott

  • The video says '95 instead of '65.

Just thought I should point that out.

  • @Rysmugen the tv show was in 1995, the original band was around in the 60's

  • This is so great !!! Do you know if they still are playing? I really hope so!

  • I'm not in ct. so I'm not sure if they are still doing the Shags. they had moved forward and became the Key West Trio.

  • Excellent job of doing it right after 30 years Shags!

  • @canadiantothebakon - I think they are good as well :)

  • Oh, I thought this was the Shaggs. Ifit were, there would be blood all over my ears by now.

  • Outstanding!!

  • @bobyoung53 guitarist,Tom Violante wrote this song.....he and Carl Augusto were the main song writers of the Shags

  • OMG! WOW! A blast from the past! :)

  • Not to be confused with 'The Shaggs' with two g's. If you value your ears, you won't look them up.
