  • I lived in Chicago, near 83rd and Halsted from Kindergarten thru graduation. While in 4th gr., Linda Nichol's and her siblings were the first black family to enroll at our school; W. Q. Gresham Elementary. I felt privleged when Linda was seated in front of me. By 8th gr., I was the only white girl in my class & was seated in a back corner surrounded by 3 boys. One was not fond of white people, but another boy made me feel better when he told him that they weren't all bad. Thanks for posting!

  • Sir I love the videos my Grandmother used to tell my Mom when my Mom asked her how can she help the homeless situation? Grandmother would tell her don't become one of them. I'm reppin 92nd Sangamon 1971- 1989 Thanks for the flash back

  • I live on 62nd and harlem

  • im defiantly not trying to come down on you im just saying because this world is extremely diverse now. my child's father is from "the gardens" and my family is from lake bluff so 2 completely different worlds do combine

  • Chicago is a large city N i really wish U would have gone to 111th N beyond to show the diversity N different classes since U are talking about "race N class"....for example i know someone who was born N raised in Atlgeld Gardens N now is a very well paid midwife, as well as a well known teacher who is very very influential in that community N they R just fine N speak "proper english".

  • I wish you would have went 111th and beyond. MTG represent

  • watching from London..great video!

  • Its not that the wh the "white neighborhood" is betterthan the "black community" because we are not segregated anymore. Its about education and money. If you can't afford the white neighborhood you will not live there. I live in a white neighborhood because I finished college and got a good paying job. And I have to say public assistance really helped me when I was in college and on a tight budget. The welfare system did not ruin the black community lack of education did.

  • Really cool man, I enjoyed this ride with you.

  • get real..it would take hours for this guy to cover all the relevant neighborhoods
