Look at the smoke from the exhaust on idle. then with a few revs its gone. Back down to idle and give it a few secs -Smoke again.

I would say valve stem seals? bottom end is spanking new.

  • Thanks. defo got it down to the valve stem seals now. engine is only 2000miles old from fresh rebuild but i cocked up with the stem seals. defo not the HG as its MLS with fresh ground/polished head and block surfaces. A lot of the smoke when cold is just condensation due to a slight leak in a exhaust gasket and the shape of the pipework.
