  • OF COURSE NOT! The content has to be shot in 3D and delivered in 3D. But the content can be 3D on lne, as with YouTube 3D, such as a couple I have posted (Venice and Maker Faire 2010). You select what format you want to see (side by side, interlace, etc) and output it to your Samsung the same way you would a DVD (i.e in checkerboard format).

  • you need the box to ne able to play BluRsy 3D roght out of the nox. To playfrom a cpmputer follow my instructions

  • I use Stereosopic Player because I understand how it works. I have TriDef on my Acer 3D laptop. It works great with the files pre-loaded on the machine, but I have never been able to get it to play any files I upload. Ditto for trying to use it with the Samsung. The "How To" documentaion is non existent. I don't have the patience to sit on a help line phone to get it working. But I'm told when you get it working, it's great! You don't have to do all the menus like S P everytime.

  • whats the diff between a 3d tv and a 3d ready. will they both give the same performance in regards to 3d depth?

  • @YouBumAssNigga They both work verymuch the same way, with checkerboard display and shutter glasses viewing. Th difference is similar to the difference between the erly "HD Ready" sets and the later HD sets. The "HD Ready did not have tuners and YOU had to supply the HD signal for it to display. With the "3D Ready" sets (2007-2009) YOU had to supply the set with a proper checkerboarded 3D image. The newer 3D TVs accept a variety of 3D sources and creted the checkerboard image intrnally.

  • I have a samsung pn50b450 and I when go to picture options the 3d effect is faded grey.I can't click in it.I have the emitter plugged in but it's still not working.I wonder why?

  • @BMT8920 With the Samsung "3D Read" TVs, you have to supply a checkerboard signal to the TV in order to access the "3D Effect" menu. If it doesn't see a proper signal, it will be greyed out. So, first set your coputer output to 1080, then select "3D DLP" in the output menu of Stereoscopic player with a 3D signal going through BEFORE you access the Picture Mode Menu and goto "3D Effect". Also, on my set, it will ONLY accept a 3D (checkerboard) singal through the HDMI 3 input.
