So, I'm interested to know, what precicely makes engines sound like this, is it just that its a 427 or is it because its a big block, or (and in my opinion the most likely) is it because the timing is so advanced that its hard to get it to idle smoothly thus creating the awesome sound. I just picked up a '79 vette with the base 350 in it and it sounds very smooth, but I like the sound of your engine better.
