Please find them. My friend Lady Ozma has been trying to get me to go to a con. I didn't know they had music at them.

For me I really look for something deep and melodic sounding, with expressive minor chords especially anything polyphonic. Mood is also important. I don't know why, but for me, melancholic music makes me happy, contented, almost like ether. I tend to filter out songs with lyrics that I don't like. So if I download some music that sings about Satan I will most likely delete that song since I am a Christian Goth. I also disapprove of swearing in songs, so that helps me filter out some songs too

Oh,melancholy is the goal of Goth,I was thinking dark and angry,in a non lethal way.

I never get "weirded out" by musical choices. Music is a subcategory of our souls . . . and if your category is goth, then more power to ya! :)
This video gets me in the mood for fall!

I know! I've updated my "Autumn Playlist" and I am carefully awaiting the opportune moment to begin... I don't want to be too hasty, Autumn is a serious thing!

Is it possible to do a review of some goth music or is it mainly for listening to and not analyzing?

Oh I LOVE analyzing my music! VNV Nation especially... like the song "Carbon" is a social commentary on how we're breaking our planet in the name of progress "by our blindness and stupidity, we kill everything" Granted though, some music out there is simply for listening to, but I like to get philosophical :)

Prisons, bloody battles, you really know how to pick a Goth review location to film! I may not have ever sought this music out, but if I heard it, I would have thought "oh. That's cool". For you, is it about mood, instrumentals or lyrics. "Neo Medieval" interesting. Question-have you ever been to a Goth hang out to club and listen to music? Would you have to travel to another city? Is it possible to be a "happy" Goth or is each individual different just like in any other group?

also, I have been to FOUR goth clubs in three countries. I've been to The Dominion in Dublin, Ireland, The Slimelight in London, England (that place is HUGE! and costs about $16 to get in) And there are two clubs here in Minneapolis, the fancy one is open on Saturday, and the free one is on Mondays. I've heard the phrase "no two goths are alike" but "Perky Goths" are rather happy... there are about a dozen main "goth types" but most of us cross over into several categories :)
