@ES44Ah - Maybe where this happened, they don't have "conductors" as you know them. More likely it was one of the yard staff that set the points wrong which sent the train down the siding occupied by the empty wagons.

Simple error by the rail operator (shunter) here; he's set the wrong road; driver may have been unaware of his intended path and didn't know about the stowed consist because it's around a bend.

@pletiplot Hey, do you know anything about Railroading? If you say "Yes" you would know that the conductor is the one that lines the switches. And we all know trains cant stop on a dime, this is old news. Know what your talking about before you comment on something.

@WestVirginia1 Conductor is inocent. Usualy conductors dont set up the way for train, the other railway staff does. When the train goes, it is hard to stop it. In car, you can stop before nearly every obstacle you see. But not in trains.

Why they didn’t caring the front freight train attention on the line? They didn’t thinking what purpose there doing? The train driver has gone wrong place at the back! Should be take-over the front carriage with freight train, before resume operating for safety. It will watch where are going. Is being make non vision signal or lack of radio control or they made something error of the line!!!

why wasnt the conductor on the back!?
