KB Cobra vs single turbo LS2 GTO

my friend and i decided to see how things would go. obviously the cars are set up much differently with the cobra being much better from a dig and the goat being more of a top end car. goat driver didnt want to do any dig runs, so the 20 roll was the closest we got, all the slow rolls were the same result, all the 50 rolls went back and forth like in the video. side note, filmed in mexico where they must buy used police cars from NY

@tmann0717 the gto made about 85 more rwhp than the cobra when this video was made, so obviously the guy couldnt drive, but even a good driver would not help the goat outrun the cobra from a dig

@magikstik8457 The GTO also is heavier. its weighs in the ball park of 3800lbs and the cobra close to 3400lbs, so that narrows the gap, and on top of that the cobra has slicks, so no, u couldnt beat a supercharged cobra with slicks off the line with a turbo lagging ls2 on street tires. i dont care who u are. just not happening.

@redrooster280zxt weight is irrelevant on high speed runs, aerodynamics is relevant. thats why its extremely hard to beat corvettes @ high speeds, even if you have 100 more HP than them because they have a low drag coefficient.

You got allllll that hp going to a heavy car. Of course the Cobra was gonna win with radials and what not. If that GTO had some radials, that would be an awesome race :) but the GTO would probably win. haha

The GTO jumped like a mother on the 50 roll i like mustangs i think the 99-04 body is nice i like power though so i cant hate on the GTO my first car was a 1965 GOAT and i tried to buy an 05 last year but they kept jerking me around on payments. I would happily drive either car.
