Kingston Trio has had many a hit songs starting from Tom Dooley in the mid to late 50's and strong through the first half of 1960. But I believe this and the M.T.A. are my top two by these guys listen to "The Reverend Mr. Black"

    Hey Duke

    you are welcome

  • Before a concert at the Keswick Theater near Philly 5 or 6 years ago, Glen Campbell told me that he was one of the singers in the chorus of this song. I also know that he played a 6 string banjo on the Kingston Trio's single---------- Desert Pete. Why a 6 string and not a 5 string ?-----hey, I guess Glen can do what the heck he wants -being that he played with the BEACH BOYS------SONS OF THE PIONEERS---JIMMY WEBB------KINGSTON TRIO--ETC --ETC --ETC

  • @austingone

Don't forget the intro to Mama Tried By Merle Haggard. Done on a 12 String guitar (Or so I heard)

I did not know of all the stuff you informed me of So........

    Thanks Hwaj5300

I got to walk it by myself

  • I was at Yokota Air Base, Fussa-machi, Japan, 1959-1961. The Kingston Trio was my favorite secular group. MTA and Tom Dooley were tops!
