I largely agree, though I think Matsuken's hesitance and reluctance to commit to mixups probably stemmed from awareness of Eriho's style as much as anything else. Eriho has an amazingly sharp and patient defense, and is the kind of player to either gradually poke you to death, or punish you very heavily from one mistake. He seems reluctant to play the game as Guess Strike (very wise for a Hugo player), which I think works for and against him, depending on his opponent.

Hey TheShend did you play in one of this matchs?

While it's wise to keep some distance from Hugo, Ken's options are just too good, he has a VERY easy time avoiding reversal 360s due to the pushback of his target and regular combos. The priority of just about everything Ken does is too good to waste on poking games, which ultimately boil down to guesswork (which is a skill in itself, but that's another subject) and can go either way. Hugo's forte might be his command grabs, but his pokes, while mostly unsafe, reach far and hurt a lot.

This Ken player's way to deal with Hugo is the worst possible in my opinion...He tried to outpoke him the entire match instead of going for the dozens of awesome mixup options Ken gets against Hugo. EX crossup tatsumaki is a staple of Ken VS Hugo (and much better usage of meter than EX hadoukens if you ask me) for harassment purposes, yet you only see it used once here.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it me or did Ken use shoryuken once, tatsu maki senpuu kyaku once and he never hadoukened?

Hahah... alright everyone skip to to 40 seconds into the match and watch the pause of Hugo crouching syncronized with the background music, starting again with the strong jab into Ken's unfortunate pelvis. It was hilarious.

Yeah statistically.
