Some iguanas will never eat when someone is watching, don't know why...
Just keep working with him and maybe he will, I think it was a month or two with tweak before she started eating with me around.

Depends on how long they have been around humans. Most adult wild iguanas i've seen are just cocky and don't care that humans are around, they will do what they want when they want lol.

as far as iguanas sociability, it very well might depend on where it came from. you can imagine iguana farms and these baby ig's having to go through a traumatic experience from the moment they hatch till they wind up in your local petco. i've had mine for 6-7 months and he's still afraid of me at all times...im looking for advice as well.

That and the tiny little cage they keep it in at the store... Just give it time. It took a while for me too... Taming any animal takes a great deal of time. You really only have problems in the early stages if it doesn't eat. If it doesn't eat put food in the cage and let it be. eventually it will eat. Just so other people know.
