i haven't uploaded anything in a while .. so i might as well humiliate myself.
it was impossible to get this pony clean without using tons and tons of product (it was too cold to bathe him) and it turned out that when dry, that handy stain remover i use gets quite slippery.
i was in a small group for the trips, and had a bit of a saddle crisis so i only had about 30 seconds to memorize this course. when i got out there, i was so busy trying to remember which way to go that i couldnt focus properly on my striding and got quite a few chips and deep jumps.
i had also cleaned simon's saddle the night before, which made it incredibly slippery .. the last time it had been cleaned was for my OEF testing in march. between the stain remover and my leather cleaner i'm surprised i didnt just slide off sideways. i had absolutely no grip whatsoever, LOL.

i know, i know, i cut all my corners and simon has a look on his face that says he wants to eat me. i don't blame him, i landed quite hard on his back a couple times coming down from the fences cause i couldnt hold myself in place with my legs. even though i didn't use any, it felt like someone had hosed me down in show sheen!

if you can believe it, this was my best out of three trips. it's awful, i know. but please be kind, i don't usually ride like this and it was just a bad day.

  • I remember Simon, I rode him years ago. I find it funny, the person exiting the ring while you went in was me. :)

  • LOL well good luck! oh and make sure you school spread jumps at home, like oxers and things with deep ground lines, cause there are no straight verticals in the over fences classes--mostly oxers and verticals with flowers set wayy off the base to encourage horses to jump huge over them .. and if you're not used to huge efforts for every fence it can be a little disconcerting LOL!

  • this is actually really good!

I compete at pickering, what division was this ??

  • i did most of the PHC and BSF schooling shows last year too, but I was doing the crossrail to give my green pony some show expierence.

are you showing there again this year? (:

  • aww, this wasn't that bad just a few chips! everyone has their off days lol check out my open eq. warm up video. now that was the start to a shitty day lol

  • I think Simon is so cute! I rode him many times and he was great.
