Making judgements of an entire racial group based on a few people or a single person is prejudice plain and simple. A person from any race can be a racist. I understand that people not coming forward upsets you, and quite rightly. It's just that insulting someone is not going to make them more likely to do what you want. This kind of language and attitude is not appropriate on a site that tries to encourage people to be good citizens -- or anywhere really. Threatening violence is a crime.

@chizzy555 Try to imagine how terrifying it might be for a child who is being threatened by a gang member. Let's try to encourage kids to be good citizens... not insult them. This can be absolutely terrifying to a child. I'm not saying money is a perfect answer... but for a kid maybe looking for an out from a gang where retribution is serious... it can change a child's life for the better.

For some kids, maybe those who are being threatened by a gang (for example) it's not that easy to just make this call. Try to think of what it might be like as a child, terrified out of your mind of retribution. We need to help kids get to the point where they can be good citizens, not insult them
