Holy Face Rosary - The Defenders of THE HOLY NAME OF GOD

A reparation prayer rosary against the attackers of the Holy Name of God (profanity), atheists and other crimes that offend Our Father. It is a quick rosary and I find it appealing for my prayer life.

Carmelite Nun named Sister Mary of St. Peter in France, 1844, said she was dictated by Jesus to her this devotion.

In 1885, to bring attention to the importance of this devotion, Pope Leo XIII established this special devotion as an Archconfraternity; and contrary to custom, He immediately established it for the ENTIRE WORLD. Note that numerous indulgences have been granted from several Popes, including Pope Pius IX and Pope Leo XIII, to those devoted to Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus.

Note that Saint Therese of Lisieux was also very dedicated to this devotion, which prompted to take the name, "Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face". This devotion was universally practiced before World War I but unfortunately, has since become scarcely known.

@LanaV6 It was a common prayer before the 1st world war. I suspect the brutality of that war decreased faith in God in France where it was the most popular. It has an interesting history and I love praying this rosary sequence.

@2000YearsOfTradition if you have a craft store near you (I'm sure you do), you can string together a Holy Face Rosary for yourself. All you need is a crucifix for the end, which you can get online or perhaps a Catholic Book store.

@MsCynthia56 This is a favorite devotion as you can see by the video length it takes less than 10 minutes. I do modify the prayer (s) somewhat occasionally for individuals or purposes. Like instead of 'divisions of your enemies' talking to God, if it is for an individual, every other one I might put in 'divisions of her or his enemies'.
