milly228 that sharp turn is the standard flight path for departing aircraft at the cairns airport, there not aloud to fly over the city, hence the quick turn, qantas tried to do the straight flight takeoff , but the residents in the city area made a big song and dance about it and one, it take's a extra 20 mins to to go around like that, money , money..

what a mind!! where did you see the taxy and the turnaround
i would think it could be a 757 in charles the gaulle airport on cathay livery.LOL im joking

Well firstly Air New Zealand is the second 767 operator into Cairns.
Secondly the 767 from Qantas operates QFA0925 to Sydney and QFA0703 to Melbourne.
Daily there used to be 2 x 767-300's on the domestic runs and 4 or 5 x 767-300's on International runs.

Looking at the wing, its a Boeing 767. Only one carrier operates Boeing 767's into Cairns, and that is QANTAS. Also, using RWY 15, a full length runway is used because of the back-taxi and turnaround procedure, and looking at how early the pilot rotated the aircraft into the air, I wouldn't say the plane is going much further then Brisbane,
